About the Role
Director of Operations Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau | Nassau, The Bahamas
Imagine leading resort operations with the Caribbean just outside your office. We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations who thrives in the heart of the operation. This is not a behind-the-scenes leadership role. We are looking for someone who is visible, engaged and comfortable moving throughout the resort, developing leaders, solving problems in real time and creating an exceptional experience for both guests and associates.
Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on leadership across overall resort operations, with particular focus on Food & Beverage, Rooms and the guest experience.
• Lead, coach and develop the resort's operational leadership team.
• Partner closely with the General Manager to execute operational priorities and drive overall hotel performance.
• Provide direct leadership to the Executive Chef, Director of Rooms Operations and Food & Beverage Manager.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the resort, identifying opportunities and responding quickly to operational needs.
• Champion service excellence and a guest-first culture across operating departments.
• Drive accountability for operational performance, quality standards and execution.
• Use guest feedback and performance measures to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, consistent with Aimbridge's operations leadership framework.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure an integrated resort experience and strong communication among operating teams.
• Develop leaders and create an environment where associates are empowered to take ownership of the guest experience.
• Partner on budgeting, forecasting, expense management and other financial priorities to support profitable resort operations.
• Ensure established brand, safety and operational standards are consistently maintained.
Required Skills
• Progressive hotel or resort operations leadership experience, ideally within a complex full-service or resort environment.
• Significant Food & Beverage leadership experience.
• Experience leading multiple operating disciplines and senior department leaders.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with budgets, forecasts, labor and expense management.
• A track record of developing teams, building accountability and elevating service delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound operating decisions in a fast-moving environment.
• A leadership style that is visible, approachable and comfortable working alongside property teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across guests, associates, leadership and ownership stakeholders.
• Experience in Caribbean, international or destination-resort environments is highly desirable.
Competitive compensation and benefits provided.
