OVERVIEW:
KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named "Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)" operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide office support to its member firm KPMG United States ("the Client").
JOB SUMMARY:
The FSS Third-Party Risk Management Analyst will be responsible for conducting research, investigation, analysis, reporting, and monitoring for commercial and enhanced due diligence, business-initiated reviews, and other third-party risk activities. The role will identify, validate, analyze and document risk observations and develop preliminary assessments for review by program leadership.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Delivery
• Investigate third parties, principals, ownership, operations, locations, management, affiliates, and business relationships.
• Analyze litigation, regulatory actions, sanctions, debarments, adverse media, financial distress, security, and reputational risks.
• Leverage approved public, subscription, internal, and AI-enabled sources, including KPMG Engage, to uncover relevant relationships and dependencies.
• Verify automated and AI-generated findings against authoritative sources and eliminate false positives and inconsistencies.
• Evaluate findings for credibility, relevance, recency, corroboration, and materiality, separating facts from unverified claims.
• Formulate preliminary Low/Medium/High risk observations and escalate significant, complex, or unclear findings.
• Produce clear, objective, review-ready reports, summaries, research notes, alerts, and analyses.
• Document complete case records, evidence, and audit trails; implement review feedback and enhance procedures.
• Deliver against service, quality, and reporting deadlines; communicate case status and risks; and safeguard confidential information.
• Partner with the FSS Associate Director, business requestors, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Third Party Risk Management Services, and other stakeholders.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance or another related field.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in due diligence, intelligence analysis, investigations, compliance, risk analysis, or a comparable research function.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to research and interpret corporate records, litigation, regulatory actions, sanctions or watch lists, and adverse media.
• Strong research, analytical writing, and report-development skills, including the ability to synthesize multiple sources into clear and defensible analytical products.
• Working knowledge of third-party risk management concepts, including inherent risk, due diligence observations, escalation, mitigation, risk acceptance, and risk ownership.
• Understanding of initial, enhanced, and ongoing monitoring activities across the third-party lifecycle.
• Familiarity with commercial due diligence and investigative research platforms.
• Experience using AI-assisted research tools and validating outputs against authoritative sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and work effectively in a collaborative, remote environment.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
• Expected to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment while managing multiple assignments and priorities.
• Will work primarily in a paperless environment and use information systems for much of the workday to access, analyze, document, and report information.
• May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays based on client and service-delivery requirements.
• Must maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion when handling sensitive third-party, business, and risk information.
