Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and versatile Watersports Leader to oversee daily watersports operations on an exclusive UHNW Private Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, seamless, and highly personalized watersports experiences while maintaining all equipment and facilities to exceptional standards. A strong hands-on and practical approach is highly valued, particularly someone with mechanical knowledge who can troubleshoot, maintain, and carry out basic repairs on boats and watersports equipment when required.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily watersports activities and ensure safe, smooth, and professional operations at all times.
• Deliver engaging and personalized watersports experiences tailored to individual guest preferences and abilities.
• Maintain and inspect boats, watercraft, equipment, safety gear, and operational areas to exceptional standards.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and identify mechanical or technical issues before they affect operations.
• Carry out basic repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and adjustments on watersports equipment when required.
• Coordinate and supervise a range of motorized and non-motorized watersports activities.
• Ensure all activities follow established safety procedures, operational standards, and applicable maritime requirements.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, maintenance schedules, inventory, and safety documentation.
• Provide knowledgeable, discreet, and attentive service to UHNW guests throughout their watersports experiences.
• Work closely with other island teams to coordinate activities and support a seamless overall guest experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Proven experience in a senior watersports, watersports leadership, marine recreation, or similar operational role.
• Strong practical knowledge of watersports equipment, boats, watercraft, and related safety procedures.
• Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic mechanical repairs is highly advantageous.
• Confident operating and supervising a range of motorized and non-motorized watersports equipment.
• Relevant watersports, boating, maritime, or lifesaving certifications appropriate to the activities being supervised.
• Strong understanding of water safety, emergency procedures, equipment inspections, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a naturally attentive and guest-focused approach.
• Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for equipment condition, readiness, and operational standards.
• Flexible, hands-on, and adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly to changing guest and operational requirements.
• Previous experience within UHNW private islands, luxury resorts, yachts, villas, or high-end leisure environments is advantageous.
