Hiring company: Central Bank of The Bahamas Source: Bandana.com Continuously monitor, analyze and assess developments in the financial, technological, and regulatory environment to identify opportunities, risks and emerging trends that may influence the development of financial market infrastructures. Drive the modernization, resilience and strategic development of the Bank’s financial market infrastructures through research, analysis and evidence-based recommendations that inform policy, operational and strategic decision-making. Support the development, review and improvement of financial market infrastructure policies, frameworks and rules that promote the long-term sustainability of the Bank’s financial market infrastructures in alignment international principles and best practices. Contribute to the long-term effectiveness and international competitiveness of the domestic financial market infrastructure through benchmarking and engagement with local and international stakeholders. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in economics, finance, data science, operations research, computer science, engineering, quantitative finance, or a related quantitative discipline, and have three years related or transferrable experience at the supervisory level. Strong knowledge of payment systems, settlement systems, central securities depositories, central bank digital currencies, fast payment systems, financial market infrastructure, and the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure (PFMI) is required. Additionally, a working knowledge of central banking, financial sector regulation, payment system oversight, financial inclusion, and public debt operations, as well as a general understanding of IT applications and their lifecycles, is expected.
