Marine Engineer

Hiring company: Blue Lagoon Island Source: LinkedIn Bahamas Blue Lagoon Island / Dolphin Encounters Ltd. is seeking experienced Marine Engineers to support the maintenance, reliability, and operational readiness of our commercial passenger vessel fleet. Successful candidates will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, and vessel structures. Key Requirements • Minimum 5 years of marine maintenance and repair experience • Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical certification • Proven competency in marine diesel propulsion systems • Strong AC/DC electrical and electronic diagnostic capabilities • Welding and fabrication experience • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals • Experience with passenger vessels, ferries, or commercial marine operations preferred • Strong commitment to safety, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance This opportunity is well suited to a multi-skilled marine professional capable of independently diagnosing and maintaining a diverse commercial vessel fleet.
