We’re seeking a Corporate Sales & Events Coordinator who builds relationships, develops business opportunities, and helps turn enquiries into well-planned bookings. About the Role Reporting to the Guest Experience & Events Director, the Corporate Sales & Events Coordinator generates and coordinates corporate, social, nonprofit, and private event business. You will serve as the primary client contact throughout the sales and planning process, prepare proposals, maintain accurate event information, and coordinate handovers to the teams delivering the experience. You will work closely with the Events & Programming Manager and Events & Experiences Manager to align client expectations with what HITG can deliver. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development • Identify corporate, community, nonprofit, and private event opportunities. • Respond promptly to sales enquiries and event requests. • Conduct site tours and client consultations. • Develop proposals and quotations aligned with client needs and approved offerings. • Follow up on opportunities and maintain an organized sales pipeline. • Support networking, promotions, and business-development initiatives. Client Relationship Management • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients during sales and planning. • Understand client objectives, budgets, and priorities. • Recommend suitable spaces, services, and experiences. • Communicate booking requirements, deadlines, and next steps clearly. • Maintain accurate records of agreed arrangements and changes. • Build relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals. Event Details & Handover • Coordinate timelines, room layouts, catering requirements, audiovisual needs, entertainment, and special requests. • Prepare banquet event orders and other planning documents. • Confirm that event information is complete and communicated to delivery teams. • Align plans with the Events & Programming Manager. • Hand over confirmed requirements to the Events & Experiences Manager. • Support client communication during events when assigned. Outlet & Department Coordination • Confirm availability and operating requirements before including outlet experiences in proposals. • Coordinate Interactive Entertainment bookings through its Operations team. • Respect assigned session times, approved capacities, and outlet procedures. • Coordinate with Food Experience, Culinary & Supply Chain, Venue Services, IT & Systems, and Marketing. • Include approved non-alcoholic beverage offerings in proposals and event arrangements. Sales Administration & Financial Follow-Up • Maintain client records, contracts, proposals, and booking documentation. • Track deposits, payment schedules, and contract milestones. • Coordinate outstanding payment information with Finance. • Prepare sales reports and event summaries. • Keep internal teams informed of confirmed changes. • Escalate commitments requiring additional approval. What a Typical Week Looks Like Your week includes responding to enquiries, conducting tours, preparing proposals, following up with clients, coordinating bookings, and sharing event details with internal teams. You may attend events to support client communication and confirm that handovers are effective. The role combines administrative work with property tours, meetings, and event attendance. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required. Required Qualifications • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, Event Management, Tourism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • Three or more years of experience in hospitality sales, event coordination, client relationship management, or business development. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Strong organization and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or event-management software. • Sound commercial awareness and responsive client-service habits. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in hotel, resort, conference-centre, or destination event sales. • Knowledge of corporate events, banquet operations, and hospitality services. • Relationships within the Bahamian corporate, nonprofit, or tourism community. • Experience supporting a venue opening or hospitality startup. • Experience preparing proposals, event orders, and sales reports.
