Hiring company: KPMG in Jamaica Source: LinkedIn Jamaica OVERVIEW: KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services (KJESS)” operating from the Kingston office, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). IT Security Compliance works within the Information Security Office of KPMG and is tasked with evaluating and continually improving cyber compliance controls. JOB SUMMARY: In this role, you are responsible for providing end-to-end support to teams undergoing internal IT audits. You will coordinate audit requests, evidence submissions, stakeholder consultations, remediation activities and reporting to support an efficient, transparent and timely audit process. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Delivery • Provide end-to-end audit support to teams undergoing internal audits, including interpreting audit requests, coordinating engagement logistics and evidence submissions, collecting and reviewing supporting documentation, and consulting with auditors to facilitate an efficient and timely audit process • Coordinate with key stakeholders to develop and monitor plans of action and milestones that support the timely and effective remediation of internal audit findings • Apply a sound understanding of risk and control principles when collaborating with IT and business representatives responsible for functions undergoing internal audits • Build and maintain trusted relationships with auditors, business leaders, and other stakeholders to promote a collaborative, transparent audit process supported by proactive communication and clear expectations • Contribute as an active project team member and independently manage small projects, including facilitating meetings, documenting decisions and action items, maintaining project records and system updates, and ensuring assigned deliverables are completed on schedule • Prepare accurate, timely, and comprehensive inputs for monthly and quarterly leadership reports and presentations, and promptly escalate corrective actions or issues that are at risk of missing established due dates to the relevant Issue Owners EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution. • Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional experience, including IT audit or internal audit experience within a large professional services or IT assurance environment. • Experience applying audit and compliance methodologies, testing IT controls, investigating and reporting issues, and supporting issue remediation and management. • Experience providing audit support to auditees is preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of audit methodologies and recognized control frameworks, such as NIST, COSO, and ISO 27001. Relevant industry certifications, including CRISC, CISA, or CISSP, are preferred • Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and assess IT and information security procedures to evaluate compliance with applicable policies and control requirements. Experience using artificial intelligence tools, such as Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, is preferred • Ability to positively influence others, share knowledge, and provide guidance to less-experienced team members. • Solid verbal/written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgement skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork • Strong problem-solving skills, project management skills, and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and work well within a team • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook SPECIAL CONDITIONS: • JESS uses a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home in Jamaica or in the office. Employees must be in the office at least five days per month, with more days possible if required by business needs. • You are expected to use KPMG-approved Generative AI tools to support your daily work tasks. • Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment. • Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities. • May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
