Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and service-driven Client Credit Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and operational support to the lending function, assisting with the preparation and processing of loan applications, credit documentation and customer records, while helping to ensure an efficient and professional experience for our clients. Working closely with the Financial Centre Manager, Client Credit Supervisor, and Client Credit Associates, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day administration of credit facilities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Credit & Lending Support: • Support the preparation and administration of loan applications, credit facilities and related documentation, ensuring information is complete and accurately processed. • Prepare, scan, organize and maintain loan and credit documentation to support efficient processing and record management. • Prepare Satisfactions, Release Mortgage Letters, Cancellation Letters and other credit-related correspondence and documentation. • Accurately input and maintain loan and customer information within the Bank’s core banking and related systems. • Prepare assigned reports and provide administrative support to assist with the effective management of lending activities. Client Service & Administrative Support: • Respond to general customer inquiries within the scope of the role and appropriately refer clients to the Financial Centre Manager, Client Credit Supervisor or Client Credit Associates regarding loan applications, loan conditions and changes to credit terms. • Maintain the appropriate custody, organization and confidentiality of credit, account, and other documentation relating to loan customers. • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the lending team to facilitate efficient day-to-day operations. • Participate in sales and promotional campaigns and support initiatives designed to promote the Bank’s lending products and services. • Work collaboratively with team members and other areas of the Bank to support a positive and efficient client experience. Risk, Compliance, & Accuracy: • Ensure customer information, credit documentation and administrative processes are completed accurately and in accordance with established policies, procedures and internal controls. • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive customer, financial, and credit information. • Perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with applicable AML/CTF/PF requirements, the Bank’s Financial Crime Policy, Financial Crime Risk Management procedures and other internal guidelines. • Exercise appropriate care and attention when accessing customer information and responding to customer inquiries. Requirements/Qualifications • A high school diploma or equivalent vocational qualification; relevant tertiary-level studies or professional development in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or a related field would be an asset. • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience within the financial services industry. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and colleagues. • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities efficiently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and confidence using technology to support daily administrative and banking activities. • The ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when preparing, reviewing and maintaining customer and credit documentation. • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while meeting established deadlines. • Professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential customer and financial information.
