THE ROLE | The Finance Officer supports the Finance Operations function by ensuring accurate, timely processing of accounting entries, reconciliations, cash summaries, documentation, and audit support across assigned territories. The role strengthens financial control, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Other duties include: • Prepare monthly accounting entries and supporting schedules for agency business. • Support the daily operational requirements for assigned territories, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and on time. • Prepare reconciliations in accordance with the Finance Control Framework and follow up on reconciling items as required. • Enter daily cash summaries into the general ledger system for assigned territories. • Prepare general journals for posting to the company’s general ledger. • Maintain accurate and complete documentation to support accounting entries, reconciliations, and audit requirements. • Provide support during the external audit process, including preparing schedules, retrieving documentation, and responding to assigned audit queries. • Ensure that financial documents are appropriately filed and retained in accordance with internal procedures. • Assist with process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control within Finance Operations. • Perform other related duties as assigned. THE PERSON | To be the ideal candidate, he/she will possess Accounting degree, Finance or related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance and accounting role and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other finance or accounting systems.
