Brunel is looking for an experienced Corporate & Commercial Banking Manager to work with one of our clients in the banking sector.
This role will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and commercial banking clients, combining relationship management, business development, credit analysis, credit structuring and portfolio risk management.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and develop an assigned portfolio of corporate and commercial banking clients.
• Originate, assess, structure and manage corporate and commercial credit facilities.
• Conduct detailed financial and credit analysis, including financial statements, cash flow, repayment capacity, business performance and industry risks.
• Prepare well-supported credit recommendations for approval.
• Build strong relationships with clients and understand their businesses, industries and financial needs.
• Identify opportunities for new business, portfolio growth, cross-selling and increased wallet share.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and business opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including delinquencies, arrears, excesses and other credit risk indicators.
• Ensure compliance with credit conditions, covenants, collateral and documentation requirements.
• Conduct regular client engagement, follow-ups and business/site visits as required.
• Monitor business and portfolio KPIs and provide management reporting.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient credit processing, documentation, disbursement and client service.
• Support the development and execution of business development strategies aligned with the Bank's objectives.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Relevant banking experience, including significant experience in Corporate and/or Commercial Banking.
• Proven experience in corporate/commercial credit assessment, structuring and portfolio management.
• Demonstrated experience in corporate client relationship management and business development.
• Strong knowledge of credit assessment, lending practices and credit risk management.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including assessment of financial statements, cash flows, repayment capacity and industry/business risks.
• Understanding of collateral management, arrears, early warning indicators and remedial actions.
• Knowledge of corporate and commercial banking products and services.
• Understanding of AML/CFT, KYC, FATCA and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to prepare and present credit proposals and management reports.
• Proficiency in relevant banking/credit systems and Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
