We’re Hiring: Warehouse Manager
Are you a hands-on warehouse professional with strong leadership skills, a sharp eye
for inventory accuracy, and a drive to keep operations organized, safe, and efficient?
At MEC, we are strengthening our warehouse operations and seeking an experienced
Warehouse Manager to lead our team in Kingston, Jamaica. In this role, you will
oversee the day-to-day movement and storage of inventory while ensuring products are
received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, coordinating warehouse
staff and daily assignments, optimizing warehouse organization and product placement,
and ensuring orders are fulfilled on time. You will also establish and enforce procedures
designed to reduce inventory discrepancies, product loss, damage, and operational
inefficiencies.
As Warehouse Manager, you will maintain high standards of workplace safety, including
the proper operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment. You will work
closely with Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and other operational teams to ensure
warehouse activities support customer needs and MEC’s overall business objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision, ideally within a
manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory management, receiving, storage,
picking, and dispatch procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate inventory records, investigate discrepancies,
and implement measures to reduce stock losses.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including staff scheduling, task delegation,
performance monitoring, and maintaining accountability.
• Experience improving warehouse workflows, organization, product placement, and
overall operational efficiency.
• Competency in forklift operation and safe material-handling practices, with relevant
certification preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory software, or ERP systems,
along with proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety requirements and best practices within
industrial environments.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to
manage multiple operational priorities.
• Minimum high school diploma; additional certification or training in logistics, supply
chain management, warehousing, or operations is an advantage.
