Bahamas Harvest Church is seeking a Worship System Director to provide spiritual leadership, creative direction, and strategic oversight for the teams and processes that shape our worship experiences. This is an opportunity for a ministry-minded leader who can develop people, bring creative ideas to life, and coordinate services with purpose and care. About the Role Serving under the oversight of the Pastoral Leadership Team, the Worship System Director leads the complete worship planning and delivery process—from message concept and creative development through service execution and post-service evaluation. You will bring together creative arts, volunteer leadership, production, technical support, and service planning to create worship environments that support the church’s mission. Your leadership extends across the ministries that welcome people, lead worship, communicate the message, and support services both in person and online. Key Responsibilities Worship Vision & Creative Development • Collaborate with pastoral leadership to understand message themes and ministry priorities. • Develop creative concepts and service elements that support message series. • Design moments that encourage participation and strengthen engagement. • Coordinate worship, creative arts, media, and production contributions. • Introduce ideas that improve the atmosphere, flow, and impact of services. • Keep worship experiences relevant and aligned with the church’s mission. Service Planning & Execution • Oversee the process from initial concept through preparation, delivery, and evaluation. • Coordinate ministry leaders around clear service plans and expectations. • Ensure teams understand their responsibilities and are ready to serve. • Support smooth transitions between worship elements. • Identify and address issues that could distract from the worship experience. • Evaluate services and follow through on improvements. Ministry Leadership & Alignment Lead and oversee the ministries supporting the worship experience, including: • First Impressions: Parking, Greeters, and Ushers • Hosts: Stage and Online • Harvest Generation: Worship Team • Harvest Dance Ministry • Harvest Guild: Drama Ministry • Media & Technical Teams: Audio, Video, Lighting, and IMAG • Production and Stage Management Ensure each ministry has strong leadership, clear expectations, training, and alignment with the church’s mission and culture. Volunteer Recruitment & Development • Oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and development across the Worship System. • Maintain clear pathways for people to begin serving and grow in responsibility. • Select and mentor Deacons and Captains. • Conduct interviews, evaluations, and leadership-development activities. • Provide pastoral care, encouragement, and support for volunteers. • Build a culture in which volunteers serve with joy, commitment, and spiritual maturity. • Monitor volunteer engagement and retention. Strategic Planning & Systems Management • Develop annual strategic plans for the Worship System. • Establish meaningful performance indicators. • Maintain processes that support consistent ministry delivery and growth. • Monitor attendance and congregational engagement. • Coordinate system meetings and leadership reviews. • Identify operational gaps and implement practical improvements. Budget & Equipment Planning • Manage Worship System budgets and resource planning. • Coordinate equipment needs with ministry and technical leaders. • Align spending and equipment priorities with ministry plans. • Support responsible stewardship of church resources. • Communicate resource concerns and recommendations to pastoral leadership. Special Services & Event Production Oversee planning and execution for major church events and special services, including: • Passion Week and Easter services • Christmas productions • Anniversary celebrations • Cultural and community events • Conferences and special ministry gatherings Coordinate creative, volunteer, technical, and production requirements so these occasions serve both the church and the wider community. Cross-System Collaboration • Work with other ministry system leaders on church-wide initiatives. • Support evangelism initiatives and community outreach. • Coordinate with leadership-development programmes. • Partner with Family Life on ministry events. • Support church conferences and shared ministry gatherings. • Help communicate church vision and encourage participation through worship experiences. Reporting & Evaluation • Produce monthly and annual ministry reports. • Provide regular updates on the health, effectiveness, and growth of the Worship System. • Review service execution, attendance, engagement, and volunteer participation. • Consider spiritual responses and testimonies alongside operational measures. • Communicate findings and recommendations to the Pastoral Leadership Team. • Track agreed improvements and maintain accountability for follow-through. What a Typical Week Looks Like Your week combines creative planning, ministry leadership, volunteer development, service preparation, and evaluation. You may spend time: • Meeting with pastoral leadership about upcoming messages and priorities. • Coordinating worship, creative, technical, and production leaders. • Reviewing service plans and team readiness. • Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting volunteers. • Preparing special services and upcoming productions. • Reviewing budgets, equipment needs, and ministry reports. • Supporting service delivery and leading post-service evaluation. Availability should support church services, planning meetings, rehearsals, volunteer development, and special ministry events.
