Job Summary:
The Payroll Analyst II is responsible for the accurate, timely and confidential end-to-end processing of the Company’s payroll using the payroll system. The role manages the day-to-day payroll cycle, including validating
employee data, calculating earnings and deductions, processing payroll adjustments, preparing statutory submissions, completing reconciliations and resolving payroll-related queries.
The Payroll Analyst II works closely with internal customers to ensure that all payroll information is complete, accurate and properly authorized before processing. The incumbent also maintains payroll records, prepares
reports, supports audits and identifies opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, controls and efficiency.
KEY AND CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Process the Company’s end-to-end payroll using the HRPlus payroll system, ensuring employees are paid accurately and within established deadlines.
• Maintain and adhere to the payroll processing calendar, including deadlines for the submission, validation, approval and processing of payroll information.
• Review and validate payroll data for new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, salary changes and other employee movements.
• Process regular earnings and approved payments, including salaries, overtime, allowances, shift premiums, bonuses, , retroactive payments and other adjustments.
• Process statutory and authorized deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, Health Surcharge, benefit contributions, loan repayments and other employee deductions.
• Import, review and reconcile time and attendance information, ensuring that hours worked, overtime, leave and other relevant data are accurately reflected in payroll.
• Review payroll calculations and conduct detailed pre-payroll audits to identify and correct discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
• Prepare payroll registers and supporting reports for review and approval by the Payroll Manager and other designated approvers.
• Generate and validate employee bank payment files and coordinate with Human Resources and Financeto facilitate the timely disbursement of salaries.
• Complete post-payroll validation to confirm that payments, deductions and payroll totals agree with approved payroll reports.
• Prepare statutory payroll schedules, returns and supporting reports in accordance with the requirements and deadlines established by the relevant authorities.
• Prepare annual employee tax documents and assist with statutory year-end payroll reporting.
• Reconcile payroll registers, employee deductions, statutory liabilities, benefit deductions, bank files and payroll-related general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records in HRPlus, ensuring that all changes are supported by the appropriate documentation and approvals.
• Respond to employee payroll queries and investigate concerns relating to salaries, deductions, overtime, allowances and other payroll transactions.
• Assist with internal and external payroll audits by preparing reconciliations, reports, payroll records and other supporting documentation.
• Monitor the operation of the HRPlus payroll system and promptly escalate system, configuration or processing issues.
• Assist with testing HRPlus system updates, payroll configurations, statutory changes and system enhancements before implementation.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of employee and payroll information in accordance with

• Provide payroll-related guidance to employees and stakeholders responsible for submitting payroll information.
• Assist with the training and onboarding of new payroll employees, where required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, or Equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Management preferred.
• Local Tax law knowledge will be an asset
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
• 5 or more years of experience in Payroll experience preferred
• Experience with HR-plus software or HRP5
