About The Role
The Head of Financial Management will lead the company's financial strategy, planning, reporting, investment oversight, risk management, and regulatory compliance across its insurance and investment operations. The role will provide financial leadership to support sustainable growth, profitability, capital efficiency, and sound investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial strategy, annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Oversee financial performance across insurance operations, investment portfolios, and corporate functions.
Monitor premiums, claims, commissions, operating expenses, profitability, and underwriting performance.
Develop and monitor investment strategies, asset allocation, portfolio performance, and investment returns.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, capital adequacy, reserves, and solvency requirements.
Prepare financial reports, management accounts, investment reports, and Board-level financial presentations.
Establish strong financial controls, risk-management frameworks, and governance processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable insurance, investment, taxation, accounting, and financial regulations.
Work closely with senior management, investment teams, auditors, actuaries, regulators, banks, and external advisors.
Evaluate new investment opportunities, business initiatives, acquisitions, and strategic projects from a financial perspective.
Identify financial and investment risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Lead and develop the Finance, Accounts, Treasury, and related financial management teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent preferred.
8–12+ years of progressive experience in finance, insurance, investment management, banking, or financial services.
Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, investment management, financial reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Strong understanding of insurance financial statements, reserves, claims, underwriting economics, and investment portfolios.
Experience working with senior executives, Boards, regulators, auditors, and financial institutions.
Strong financial modelling, analytical, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
