We’re looking for warm, capable, service-minded people who want to grow with a distinctive hospitality concept built around
great coffee, curated food, and relaxed lounge service.
This is a rostered shift-work role and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, events, and extended lounge-service hours as required.
You’ll help create the full guest experience - from crafting specialty coffee and serving food, to recommending pairings, supporting lounge service, and making guests feel genuinely looked after throughout their visit.
The Role
This is a multi-skilled hospitality role built around three core areas:
- Great coffee
- Curated food service
- Warm café and lounge hospitality
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing hot and iced specialty coffee drinks to company standards.
- Preparing, presenting, and serving items from our curated café menu.
- Serving spiked coffees, rum, whisky, beer, and other beverages as trained.
- Guiding guests through coffee, food, and beverage choices and recommending suitable pairings.
- Providing attentive service to guests seated indoors and outdoors.
- Taking orders, processing payments, and using digital POS accurately.
- Keeping coffee, food-prep, lounge, bar, fridge, seating, and service areas clean, stocked, organised, and guest-ready.
- Supporting opening, reset, handover, closing, event, and lounge-service duties as rostered.
What We’re Looking For -
- Warm, polished, reliable, and professional.
- Comfortable engaging guests, explaining menu items, and making recommendations.
- Interested in coffee, food, spirits, and hospitality.
- Serious about cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and follow operating standards.
- Available for rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, events, and extended lounge-service hours as required.
- Willing to learn and develop across all areas of the role.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting, bending, and other normal hospitality duties.
Prior experience in barista work, food service, restaurants, lounges, bars, or hospitality is preferred but not essential.
Attitude, reliability, discipline, and willingness to learn are equally important.
Paid training is provided. Competitive compensation will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on experience, availability, role fit, and demonstrated capability.
Interested applicants should send a résumé and a brief note explaining why they would be a good fit for The Coffee Brewtique.
