IT/OT Security Engineer

Hiring company: SixteenFifty Source: LinkedIn Jamaica We are looking for an IT/OT Security Engineer to join a global organisation on a 6 month extendable contract in Kingston, Jamaica (hybrid role). The IT/OT Security Engineer will be responsible for: Infrastructure Development & Maintenance Cyber Security & Compliance Incident Management & Subject Matter Expertise The IT/OT Security Engineer will need: Skills & Experience • Strong background supporting technology across IT and operational/industrial environments, preferably within manufacturing, engineering or another production-led organisation. • Appropriate professional certifications or equivalent expertise across networking, infrastructure and information security. • Experience supporting technology estates spanning multiple operational locations, with an understanding of the challenges associated with maintaining consistent standards across sites. • Good knowledge of OT security, including protecting production environments, applying appropriate security measures and reducing cyber risk without disrupting operations. • Experience taking ownership of on-site technology infrastructure, including network equipment, compute environments and the physical facilities that support them. • Familiarity with industrial automation and control environments, such as SCADA, ICS and PLC-based systems. • Proven ability to plan and deliver infrastructure lifecycle work, including upgrades, replacements, remediation and modernisation activities at site level. • Comfortable working across both corporate IT and operational technology teams, translating security and infrastructure requirements into practical solutions for production environments.
