The Payroll Liaison is responsible for supporting payroll operations, acting as the primary point of contact between contractors, clients, payroll providers, and internal stakeholders. This role ensures payroll is processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with local employment legislation and company policies.
Working closely with recruitment, finance, contractors, and external vendors, the Payroll Liaison will deliver exceptional service, resolve payroll-related queries, and support the smooth administration of contractor payroll activities throughout the duration of the assignment.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Payroll Coordination: Support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring contractor timesheets, payroll data, and supporting documentation are submitted accurately and within deadlines.
• Contractor Support: Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related questions, providing timely and professional assistance to contractors and employees.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records, contractor information, and system updates while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Timesheet Administration: Review, validate, and follow up on timesheet submissions to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
• Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, payment issues, and contractor concerns in partnership with finance and payroll vendors.
• Compliance Monitoring: Support adherence to local labour regulations, tax requirements, and company payroll policies within Trinidad & Tobago.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Build effective working relationships with contractors, hiring managers, payroll providers, finance teams, and recruitment teams.
• Reporting & Administration: Generate payroll reports, support audits, and maintain payroll documentation in line with business requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, increase efficiency, and enhance contractor experience.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with recruitment, HR, finance, and operations teams to ensure a seamless onboarding, payroll, and offboarding experience.

What We're Looking For:
• Payroll Experience: Previous experience in payroll administration, payroll coordination, contractor care, finance support, or a related administrative role.
• Knowledge of Payroll Processes: Understanding of payroll principles, timesheet management, employee records, and payment administration.
• Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and ability to manage sensitive payroll data with confidentiality.

Qualifications:
• Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience supporting payroll, finance, HR administration, or contractor management activities.
• Experience working within a recruitment, staffing, workforce solutions, engineering, energy, or professional services environment is advantageous.
