Role Description As a Lastmaker, you will take responsibility for daily planning, preparation, and manufacturing of last models according to specifications from design and production. You will analyze customer requirements and technical specifications, create precise forms, and adapt existing models to ensure optimal fit and quality. Your tasks also include close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams, documentation of work steps, and control of materials and tools. You will work full-time on-site at the facility and ensure that all manufacturing steps are completed on schedule, efficiently, and according to established standards. This position is an on-site job located in Port of Spain. Qualifications • Technical Skill Competency: You have experience in manual and potentially digital last manufacturing, safe handling of tools and machines, and precise measurement and form adjustment. • Technical Understanding: You bring good spatial reasoning, basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials science, and quality control. • Work Organization and Attention to Detail: You work in a structured manner, can plan and document work steps, and consistently ensure accuracy and attention to quality details. • Cooperation and Communication: You can work constructively with design, development, and production teams and communicate requirements clearly and comprehensibly. • Education and Experience: Preferred qualifications include completed vocational or technical training (for example in shoe technology, model making, or related trades) as well as relevant professional experience in last manufacturing or similar precision craftsmanship.
