Job Summary
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GeoTrac® units and hardware. This role works closely with both the technical team and customer service team lead to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Conducts thorough inspections to determine optimal placement of devices to vehicle power sources.
· Installs GeoTrac® tracking units and or add-on hardware in vehicles, ranging from light motor vehicles to heavy equipment, ensuring that the appropriate wiring and connectivity of GeoTrac® hardware to vehicle power supplies and other necessary interfaces are conducted.
· Configures and calibrates GeoTrac® hardware to ensure accurate tracking and reporting, and conducts diagnostic tests on all installed hardware to ensure proper functionality.
· Troubleshoots any arising issues and seeks assistance from the Team Lead or other team members if necessary; conducts diagnostic tests to identify issues with GeoTrac® hardware and resolves them promptly.
· Performs regular maintenance/service checks on installed GeoTrac® hardware to ensure optimal performance, and repairs or replaces faulty GeoTrac® units and hardware as necessary.
· Updates job tickets using CRM software (HubSpot or Salesforce) and Myinstall Portal by the close of business each day with relevant information, including photos, notes, completion status, and/or any other applicable information.
· Logs all new installations, service checks, transfers and or removals in MyAdmin after completion of every job and before the close of day that it was assigned. Any delays of logging these must be reported immediately to Team Lead to avoid disciplinary action.
· Communicates with clients concerning installations, maintenance, and support services, and provides technical support to clients via telephone or on-site visits to resolve any issues that they may be encountering with GeoTrac® hardware, where advised by Team Lead.
· Provides Team Lead with arrival, departure and completion status at each job site, and provides regular updates on job progress, detailing any challenges encountered or deviations from the original plan.
· Provides technical and installation training to clients of the GeoTrac® units and add-on hardware, where advised by Team Lead.
· Keeps abreast of the latest GeoTrac® technology and industry trends to provide the best service possible.
· Collaborates with Giscad Management, Team Lead and GeoTrac® Division to improve installation processes and procedures, sharing insights and suggestions for efficiency and effectiveness.
· Maintains accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs performed; generates and submits detailed reports on the status of GeoTrac® unit installations, issues encountered, and resolutions in a timely manner.
· Provide a weekly inventory report of all tools and peripherals upon request from Team Lead and or Management.
· Ensures that all GeoTrac® installations comply with the relevant industry regulations and standards.
· Adheres to all safety protocols and guidelines during installations and maintenance work always prioritizing the well-being of oneself and others.
· Participate in the quarterly PAR (Performance Assessment Review) to assess performance, to help identify areas of strength, and assist in charting a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) course for continuous improvement if required.
· Complete annual Geotab training and certification to maintain “certified installer” status.
· Any other duties as assigned by management.

Physical requirements and Working conditions
· The ability to lift and carry equipment up to fifty (50) pounds.
· Must be capable of working in various weather conditions.
· Adept at working in confined spaces and under vehicles.
· Primarily field-based with frequent travel to client locations.
· Proficiency with hand and power tools is essential.
· May require working outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet client needs.
