The Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day control, coordination and supervision of construction activities on site at our Airport project in the Bahamas. The successful candidate will oversee operatives, workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements, specifications and drawings. The role will act as a key point of contact between the site team, main contractor, airport operators and subcontractors, providing regular progress updates, coordinating daily activities and addressing issues as they arise. Particular emphasis will be placed on maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance, including airside procedures, permits, PPE, toolbox talks and incident reporting. The Site Supervisor will also monitor subcontractor performance against programme, quantities, financial requirements and contractual obligations, while providing technical direction and ensuring works are completed to the required specification. Key Responsibilities · Reporting of progress and matters arising to the main Contractor and internally · Liaison with internal team members, including attendance at meetings as required · Liaison with airport operators · Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols, particularly with regards to airside start-up and end of shift procedures · Ensure relevant SHEQ policies are implemented and maintained in line with legal Supervisory appointment requirements, including but not limited to documented daily toolbox / safety talks, permits, PPE, quality control procedures, etc · Reporting all incidents, injuries and near misses · Ensuring regular attendance to daily prestart meetings · Supervise workers and subcontractors · Complete records for site reports · Oversee the entire site works process and ensure safety protocols are followed · Oversee daily activities, ensures that maintenance tasks are carried out correctly, supervises workers, and liaises with project managers to report progress and issues. · To be the point of contact for road maintenance and to ensure the maintenance team is readily available for works daily · Keeping and reporting of sub-contractor’s activities against the project Bill of Quantities · Keeping and reporting of sub-contractor’s project finance, including issue of interim payment certificate · Ensuring the sub-contractor’s compliance with the project sub-contract · Ensuring the sub-contractor’s compliance with the specification and drawings · Interpretation of the Specification and giving direction to sub-contractor as required Your Experience & Skills Essential Criteria · HND or equivalent in a relevant field such as Building Technology, Civil Engineering or a Construction related field · Safety Representative certification or equivalent proving capability to implement supervisory safety requirements · Experience working in the construction industry in a similar role & experience in asphalt paving operations · Strong ability to influence construction teams, subcontractors and consultants towards the successful delivery of projects · The willingness to provide quality service to customers and sub-contractors · A strong attention to detail Why Work for Mowlem Group? · Generous Salary – Tax free for ExPats · Accommodation, cleaner, cook & laundry service all provided and paid for by Mowlem Group · Visa organised by Mowlem Group · Up to £500 towards professional subscription fees that are relevant to your role · Medical Insurance · Travel Insurance · 40 Days holiday per year · Premium Economy Flights (Where possible) · Employee Referral Programme · Employee Assistance Programme How to Apply Please click Apply Now NB: We do not accept speculative CV’s from recruitment agencies.
