FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT The Role: Our client, Capita Financial Services Inc., is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant to support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will prepare financial statements and regulatory returns, support budgeting and financial reporting, supervise the accounting team, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and regulatory returns. • Maintain the integrity of accounting records and financial information. • Support budgeting, financial analysis and internal controls. • Supervise and develop members of the accounting team. • Liaise with auditors, regulators and other key stakeholders. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a recognised professional accounting designation (ACCA, CPA or equivalent). • Minimum of five (5) years' accounting experience, including at least two (2) years leading or supervising a team. • Experience in financial services or another regulated environment, with a working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements, would be an asset. • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and accounting systems, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Strong analytical, organisational, communication and leadership skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
