Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Hiring company: Tropical Battery Company Source: LinkedIn Jamaica Company Description Tropical Battery Company Limited is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance and upkeep of the Company's facilities, grounds, fleet, and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Company's premises remain clean, safe, functional, and professionally maintained. Role Description • Maintain lawns, gardens, grounds, and external areas. • Clean and pressure wash parking areas, walkways, buildings etc. • Perform basic handyman tasks, including minor plumbing, painting, carpentry, and changing light bulbs. • Wash Company vehicles and maintain tools and equipment. • Keep drains and gutters clear and report maintenance or safety issues. • Assist with general facility upkeep, hurricane preparation, and other assigned duties. Qualifications • Secondary school education or equivalent. • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, grounds maintenance, landscaping, construction, janitorial services, or a similar role would be an asset. • Basic handyman skills, including simple plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance. • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment. • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions. • Reliable, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work with minimal supervision.
