Financial Controller

Hiring company: Greenwood Development Inc. Source: LinkedIn Barbados This is a Senior Finance position within a property development group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, tax and other authorities. Responsibilities • Financial Statement preparation • Financial planning, forecasting and cash flow management • Ensure regulatory compliance in all finance functions • Maintain current knowledge of local tax rules and international accounting standards. • Prepare audit schedules as required, coordinate with the auditors and ensure the timely completion of the annual audit. • Ensure timely completion of regulatory reporting. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Professional accounting designation with 5+ years post qualification experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Logical, analytical and pro-active thinker. • Maturity and discretion to handle confidential matters. • Meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work independently on complex projects. • Proficiency with current financial software
