GGIL Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company’s treasury operations, liquidity management, capital management, investment activities, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and financial risk management activities. The role supports the optimization of liquidity, investment income, capital efficiency, and balance sheet resilience.
Responsibilities
Liquidity and Cash Management
• Monitor daily liquidity and cash positions
• Ensure adequate funding for operational and claims obligations
• Oversee short-term cash investment activities
• Manage liquidity buffers and contingency funding arrangements
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models
• Optimize deployment of surplus liquidity
• Manage FX exposures and requirements and support FX risk mitigation strategies
Capital Management
• Optimise investments held for regulatory purposes considering admissibility, capital charges, portfolio hurdle yield, concentration risk etc across the territories
• Prepare capital generation and allocation reports with accounting, regulatory, and liquidity considerations
• Monitor capital using solvency ratios, economic capital, and other applicable metrics
• Identify opportunities for balance sheet and capital optimization that generate superior risk-adjusted returns including initiatives for working capital, accounts receivable, capital adequacy, etc
Investment and Asset-Liability Management
• Monitor investment portfolio, regulatory investment funds, and oversees 3rd party investment managers
• Assist in Annual Investment Policy Statement Reviews, ALM Studies, Asset Allocation Strategy and Policy Development
• Assist execution in approved investment and treasury transactions
Financial Risk Management
• Monitor and manage treasury-related risks including: Liquidity risk, Interest rate risk, Foreign exchange risk, Credit and counterparty risk and Market risk
• Perform stress testing and scenario analysis, limit monitoring and risk reporting
• Maintain relationship with ERM and own risk reporting requirements
Banking and Custodial Relationship Management
• Maintain banking and custody relationships
• Negotiate banking services and fees
• Coordinate account management activities
• Ensure operational efficiency across banking platforms
Treasury Reporting
• Prepare and present treasury reports for the Board, Executive Management, Group ALCO and other Committees covering:
• Liquidity position
• Investment performance
• Market risk exposures
• FX exposures
• Capital and solvency metrics
• Cash flow forecasts
• Compliance with treasury limits
• Stress testing
Strategic Treasury Initiatives
• Support treasury initiatives
• Enhance treasury analytics and reporting capabilities
• Improve forecasting methodologies
• Identify investment optimization opportunities
• Support digital treasury solutions implementation
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CFA, FRM) is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Investment Management, or a related field, with strong IFRS knowledge.
• Experience in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, financial databases, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and financial data management skills.
• Insurance industry experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Proactive, commercially minded, and results-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
