Maintenance Manager - Caribbean Resort

Hiring company: Renard International Hospitality Search Consultants Source: LinkedIn Bahamas Maintenance Manager - Caribbean Resort Our client located in the Caribbean which is a large luxury resort is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager. This individual will oversee the engineering initiatives on the resort and will also be responsible for providing a safe and healthy environment for guests to enjoy. He/she will be responsible for all matters related to maintenance and operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the property. They will also be responsible for maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment including air conditioning and ventilation. You will be responsible to train, supervise, and motivate a maintenance staff and must have exceptional organizational skills. THE ROLE WOULD INCLUDE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Organize and set up preventive maintenance programs for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works. • Supervise and liaise with all contractors for all electrical, mechanical, and associated building works complying with the local government regulations and inspect and sign for contractor works upon satisfactory completion. • Oversee the general maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the resort and report any major defects. • Ensure that all administration files are kept up to date including specifications and equipment, technical maintenance manuals, etc. • Communication skills, both verbal and written, are utilized in a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties. The ideal candidate must have a “Can Do” attitude and will have excellent knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, refrigeration and general carpentry plaster, carpeting repairs. This individual will work closely with management and will report to the Chief Engineer.
