Position Summary
• Seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and modernize the organization's enterprise technology infrastructure. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the availability, security, scalability, and performance of all IT systems supporting client’s insurance, investment, pension, and financial services operations across the Caribbean region.
• The successful candidate will oversee enterprise servers, databases, networks, cloud platforms, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, data warehouse initiatives, and business-critical applications, including the iGAS platform. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, vendors, developers, and executive management to ensure technology effectively supports the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Server Management
• Lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Manage Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup solutions.
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, and business continuity across all critical systems.
• Oversee network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless environments.
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
Database Administration & Management
• Oversee Microsoft SQL Server and other database platforms supporting business applications.
• Manage database security, backups, recovery procedures, upgrades, and patch management.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning, indexing, and optimization strategies.
• Ensure database integrity, availability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead data migration initiatives associated with software upgrades and system enhancements.
Business Systems & Application Support
• Provide strategic oversight of the iGAS platform and related financial services applications.
• Coordinate system upgrades, releases, testing, and implementation activities with vendors and development teams.
• Ensure business applications effectively support departmental requirements.
• Conduct regular engagement sessions with business users to identify improvements and technology opportunities.
Data Warehousing & Reporting
• Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise data warehouses and analytical platforms.
• Drive reporting automation initiatives and business intelligence solutions.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of operational, financial, and executive reports.
• Establish data governance standards and improve data quality across systems.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
• Develop and manage cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls.
• Implement and monitor security technologies including endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability management, and identity access management.
• Ensure compliance with financial services regulations, data protection laws, and industry best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and remediation programs.
• Lead incident response and cyber resilience initiatives.
IT Operations & Service Delivery
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Manage IT support processes, service levels, and operational efficiency.
• Establish infrastructure standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Ensure prompt resolution of infrastructure and application-related incidents.
Leadership & Vendor Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop IT infrastructure, database, and support teams.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers, and software partners.
• Prepare and manage infrastructure budgets and technology investments.
• Provide regular reporting and recommendations to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
Experience
• 8–12+ years of progressive IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years in Infrastructure Management, IT Operations, or Enterprise Systems leadership.
• Proven experience within Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or other regulated industries strongly preferred.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale server and database environments.
• Demonstrated success leading infrastructure modernization and cybersecurity initiatives.
