As demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Business Development Consultant to join our team. This is a consultative, revenue-driven role focused on developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships and expanding FAVIO's market presence.
Supported by an experienced recruitment team, the successful candidate will focus primarily on acquiring new clients, growing existing accounts and delivering exceptional client service throughout the recruitment process. This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted workforce solutions advisor to corporate and medium-sized organisations while contributing directly to the Company's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively identify, engage and develop new business opportunities across Barbados and the wider Caribbean.
• Promote FAVIO's full suite of services, including recruitment, managed advertising, outsourcing and HR advisory services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to support long-term business growth.
• Develop long-term strategic relationships with business leaders, HR professionals and decision-makers across target industries.
• Generate new revenue through client acquisition, vacancy generation and additional service engagements.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and other business development materials when required.
• Lead the client relationship from initial engagement through successful placement, ensuring a high standard of service and communication.
• Coordinate recruitment assignments with the internal recruitment team to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell recruitment, manage advertising, outsourcing and HR advisory services.
• Represent the Company at client meetings, networking events and other business development activities.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, business development activity and recruitment assignments within the Company's CRM systems.
• Monitor business development opportunities, recruitment pipelines and service delivery to ensure timely follow-up and achievement of agreed revenue targets.
Requirements
• Degree or professional qualification in Business, Marketing, Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in consultative B2B sales, business development or account management within a target-driven environment.
• Experience selling recruitment, HR, professional or business services will be a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers and develop long-term client partnerships.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Competence in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Access to a reliable motor vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
