Ltd Source: LinkedIn Job Title: Information Technology Manager Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer Location: Head Office - Arouca Job Summary: To strategize and lead the execution of a digital transformation roadmap for the organization. Being a core part of the business, they align teams with ascertaining business requirements and looking for technological capabilities inside the internal Direct Reports: Duties and Responsibilities: • Systems Analysis: Assess organizational functional and system requirements, recommending and developing secure database architectures and designs. • Software Development: Write and validate code, manage data acquisition, and ensure proper output formats across applications. • Application Design: Create user interfaces, maintain websites, and develop interactive applications, simulations, and streaming services; collaborate with users to test, debug, and troubleshoot. • Quality Assurance: Guarantee software and system functionality by integrating hardware/software components, maintaining documentation, and enforcing strict data security policies. • Project Scope Definition: Formulate and define system scope and objectives, applying knowledge of computing systems including program stack, memory management, CPU, I/O, and networking. • System Integration: Maintain advanced knowledge of system integration, recommending optimal software and hardware configurations. • Installations and Configurations: Perform software and hardware installations, configurations, and upgrades as required. • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed specifications and presentations to guide application development and communicate technical requirements. • Problem-Solving Procedures: Devise or modify procedures to resolve issues, considering equipment capacity, operating time, and desired outcomes. • Architecture Design: Provide analysis and design of applications, middleware, and system architecture to address complex problems. • Security Analysis: Evaluate systems, applications, networks, and architecture to enhance operational effectiveness and strengthen cybersecurity. • Performance Tools Development: Design and develop modeling tools/utilities to evaluate performance, security, and features of production services. • Vendor and Open-Source Evaluation: Analyze third-party and open-source software to develop, test, debug, document, install, and maintain secure, site-specific databases. • AI Integration: Lead initiatives to embed AI into security operations, including predictive analytics, surveillance enhancements, and automated incident response. Qualifications and Experience: • Must be proficient in at least two (2) of the following - PHP, Java Script, Python • Must be proficient in web-application technology • Must have a working knowledge of the REACT web application framework • Must be able to demonstrate a history of successfully completing projects in web-programming • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution • An equivalent combination of qualifications and experience will be considered Required Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent technical writing skills • Strong team-orientation • Critical and analytical thinking skills • Excellent research skills • A keen eye for detail • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Strong understanding of the web development cycle, programming techniques and tools. • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement. • Excellent project and time management skills. • The ability to produce comprehensive reports for Executive Management Working Conditions: • Will require being on-call in case of emergencies • May require working additional hours on weekdays and/or on weekends and public holidays • Will require travelling to various job sites • Will require working indoors as well as outdoors Physical Requirements: • May occasionally be required to stand for long periods at a time • May require twisting, bending, kneeling, crouching and stretching
