Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Payable Officer to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily financial transactions, managing accounts payable, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Objectives:
• Manage all general ledger accounts, posting journal entries and handling bank reconciliations
• Process supplier invoices, match purchase orders and execute timely disbursements via cheque or bank via a 3-way process.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for full-cycle accounts payable.
• Reconcile CASH IN Hand daily.
• Post invoices/bills, payments and receipts daily.
• Assist in compiling Local Content Monthly & Quarterly report.
• Prepare cheques and wire transfer instructions.
• Uploading wire transfer instruction on bank portal.
• Respond to and resolve accounts payable queries.
• Process and track monthly rental and utility accounts.
• Execute monthly general ledger reviews for specific cost centers.
• Perform comprehensive monthly bank reconciliation.
• Maintain, perform, and update internal control procedures.
• Compile information for internal and external auditors and regulators as required
• Other duties as assigned relating to the job role.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
• ACCA level 2 or Diploma/ Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of two (2) years’ proven experience in accounting
• Must be accurate with a strong attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS office
• Multi-tasking skills and ability to perform duties independently
• Self-starter (willing to take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do)
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Administrative discipline – excellent organizational habits to handle high volume weekly document filing and scanning workflows.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP will be an asset.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
