Job Description Position Objective: Responsible for conducting advisory processes in academic initiatives and for assigned students, guiding learners throughout their academic trajectory. The Virtual Tutor will be a key member of the student success team, helping students plan and achieve their academic goals through individualized academic advising, coordinating progress monitoring, and contributing to institutional retention and graduation initiatives. Main Functions: • Comprehensive Academic Advising and Management Provide academic support to students by addressing inquiries, offering continuous feedback, evaluating learning activities, and continuously monitoring academic progress, identifying at-risk situations and coordinating necessary interventions in accordance with institutional protocols. • Compliance with Protocols and Academic Quality Standards Ensure adherence to guidelines, goals, and objectives of the academic support system; apply quality control mechanisms (rubrics, evaluation, and report review) and collaborate with various institutional stakeholders to promote student success, retention, and timely graduation. • Implementation of Continuous Improvement and Educational Innovation Actively participate in evidence-based continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities to optimize the support system, propose educational innovations, and prepare periodic reports that contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and strengthening of academic processes. Qualifications Academic Level: Complete bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Industrial Engineering. Complementary Education: Master's degree in fields related to education, academic management, or educational innovation is desirable. Certifications: University teaching or active methodologies.
