Why this isn't "just another job"
At Alice, we don't offer you a seat in the stands — you'll step into the arena of one of Latin America's boldest growth journeys in technology and healthcare.
As a Software Engineer, you'll build cutting-edge technology with direct impact on improving people's lives. If you're hungry to drive results, learn fast, and be part of Latin America's most innovative company, keep reading.
Attention: At Alice, Engineering operates 100% on the Agentic Development model. If you don't have experience and enthusiasm in acting as an orchestrator of AI agents, this role isn't for you.

About the Position
A DevOps Engineer at Alice goes beyond keeping infrastructure running! In this role, we expect you to work across multiple dimensions critical to our mission of making the world healthier.
Platform and Infrastructure: Build and evolve our AWS and Kubernetes platform with sustainable and scalable solutions; Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) with versioning, review, and testing; Break down platform changes into tasks that make sense for agents — sequencing, dependencies, parallelism, autonomy levels; Collaborate on cross-squad architecture decisions; Keep our ADRs, documentation, rules, and skills up to date.
Reliability, Delivery, and Operations: Build and evolve our CI/CD pipelines and release strategies (canary, blue/green, rollback) via agents; Work spec-first throughout the cycle — planning, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, reviewing diffs, and iterating; Own the platform lifecycle (deployment, metrics, alarms, SLOs) and guardrails that maintain quality (infrastructure testing, linting, policy checks, security scans); Use agents in operations too, investigating incidents via MCPs (Datadog, logs, traces, GitHub); Participate in on-call, evolving runbooks and automations that reduce noise and MTTR; Ensure high performance, high availability, and security of systems.
Technical Leadership: Contribute to platform challenges and the entire tech team, sharing ideas, solutions, IaC modules, architectures, skills, subagents, rules, and reusable workflows; Evolve context files in your domain to raise the quality of agent-produced infrastructure changes; Publish and maintain skills in our internal marketplace; Enhance the development experience at Alice (platform tooling, ephemeral environments, self-service deployments, observability) and mentor colleagues in the orchestrator mindset.
Product / Business: Work alongside Software Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to understand user and internal team pain points, creating the best platform solutions; Help the team decide where agentic automation fits and where we want human judgment, especially in critical production changes and flows involving care, clinical data, and regulatory decisions; Collaborate to strengthen team culture, actively participating in squad rituals and processes.
About the Engineering Team at Alice
Being part of Alice's Engineering team means having the responsibility and privilege of working to make the world healthier. Our mission is enormous, and we seek people aligned with our purpose and possessing high competence and resilience to transform Brazil's healthcare system. It's a huge challenge, but incredibly rewarding, with countless growth opportunities.
We're a collaborative team that pursues technical excellence without losing sight of the real objective behind every line of code we write. You'll work alongside business and product teams, with many mature initiatives and many others to build from scratch.
We focus on quality and thoughtful decisions. While we strive to evolve every day and reinvent ourselves, we're a team that prioritizes consistent, rational, and well-documented decisions.
We're remote. If you prefer working at the office (like some of our team members), our address is Avenida Rebouças, 3535. Other Alice teams work in a hybrid format (product, design, business, operations).
